Receives, stores, and issues materials and linen throughout the facility and maintains appropriate documentation for such transactions. Responsible for timely delivery and posting of mail and packages.

Responsible for maintaining inventory with the storeroom this includes monitoring of inventory levels and ensuring accurate quantity is on hand.
- Monitor actual inventory levels against set par levels to ensure stock outs or over stocking does not occur.
Measured by direct observation, printing Back Order Report (5 times per year), and printing Actual Inventory Value Report to monitor varying levels on hand (monthly).
- Monitors and rotates stock for appropriate use before out-dating occurs.
Responsible for receiving and issuing materials throughout the hospital this includes maintaining exchange carts, and maintaining proper documentation.
- Maintains inventory in various departments through exchange cart
Measured by direct observation and printing Actual Inventory Value report for exchange carts to monitor for varying levels on hand (quarterly).
- Maintains appropriate documentation for receiving and issuing
Measured by direct observation by reviewing number of missed receivings.
- Distributes requested supplies throughout hospital
Measured by direct observation and feedback from respective departments.
Collects proper end-user signatures for all items delivered.
Responsible for distributing clean linen throughout hospital via an exchange cart or par levels depending on department needs and space requirement (as per the Linen policy.
- Collects soiled linen from respective department and prepares this linen for shipment back to vendor.
Responsible for sorting incoming mail into appropriate interoffice mailboxes, sorting and running outgoing mail according to appropriate accounts, running and completing paperwork for outgoing Bulk Permit mailings.

¨ Education: High School Diploma or GED. Previous experience preferred.
¨ Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of people.
¨ Physical Demands: Ability to see, talk and hear; noise level is low to moderate. Ability to occasionally sit and frequently stand. Ability to frequently reach from floor to waist and occasionally reach from waist to overhead. Ability to frequently lift and carry 26 to 50 pounds. Also, occasionally push and pull up to 100 pounds.
¨ Other: Requires computer literacy and skills. Good written and oral communication skills.
VISUAL AND AUDITORY DEMANDS:
All employees must possess adequate vision and hearing to safely perform their job functions. Employees involved in direct patient care must particularly have the hearing abilities to communicate with patients, to easily hear auditory alarms in order to assure patient safety. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
